How it works:
We offer individual and group sessions dedicated to helping the early development and neuro-development of your children, typically from 0 to 7 years of age.
All sessions include a free initial evaluation and personalised plans that are implemented during the billing hours. Each in-person hour is charged at 100chf.
John’s example case:
John did not produce the expected number of words for his age, and he reacted badly to auditory stimuli due to sensory overload. His parents scheduled an initial evaluation. In the first visit, I met with John and his parents and assessed his behaviour, while the parents filled out questionnaires and described John’s struggles and daily routine.
After this initial evaluation we created a plan integrating language stimulating techniques as well as sensory processing accommodations and exposures which John and his parents could follow on a daily basis.
We had an in-person session every two weeks, where I reevaluated John’s progress. During this time the parents told usabout the implementation of the plan and any problems or new issues, and we addressed these by modifying the plan. For example, John had less outbursts from sensory overload, so we incorporated more auditory stimuli.
After 6 months John had progressed enough that no more in-person sessions were necessary, and his family could continue implementing the sensory development plan without my intervention.

About me: Paola Yu PhD
I am the founder and head counsellor for Development Buddy. I have a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Lausanne, and 15 years of experience directly working with children in clinical, research, and school settings. I’m a neurodevelopment specialist focusing on early childhood, and also I am a mom of two boys. In my parenting journey, I have been able to talk to many parents, and it has become clear to me that there is a need for better parental support on the best ways to guide the development of our children. Therefore, I decided to offer a consulting service to help parents.
I work in person in the Lemanic area and online all over the world. We also work as a liaison for other therapists in different countries.
